End of summer 1973

For several years now, Nana is part of Quebec’s cultural landscape, as well for her performances as for her recordings. In the past 20 months, three of her songs, "Comme un soleil", "Je finirai par l’oublier" and "Ni vivre ni mourir" become consecutive hits. To meet the growing demand, London Records, her distributor, makes several reprints of her records. The variety of the labels reflects the various presssings. The singles without cover don’t go unnoticed. After the ones in turquoise, there are the light and dark red, the orange and the black ones. During that period, some department stores decide to consecrate a display to Nana. They order many copies of the best selling albums and even those in Greek and in English that are less commun through the province.

In August 1973, Nana flies to Los Angeles to record an album for the American Market with the producer Snuff Garrett. Her son Nicolas, her daughter Hélène and her nanny accompany her. During the same trip, she comes to Quebec and Ontario. Only ten months after her last visit, Nana is again among us to present a new tour. On this occasion, there are few promotion and interviews but the tickets are seeling quickly. Moreover, the long-time fans remain impressed by the crowd at the box office during their putting on sale. And for those who miss her, one of her concerts will be broadcasted on radio and on television.

 

With the exception of some pages, the program is identical with the one of the last tour.
