Jean-Claude Brialy 1933-2007

On May 30, the actor Jean-Claude Brialy has left us at age 74. Since his beginnings in 1956, he played nearly two hundred roles in movies, in theatre and in TV series. Relentless worker and accomplished communicator, he was also a film-maker, a scriptwriter and a writer.

Jean-Claude and Nana met in 1967, during the Gala La Rose d’or in Antibes. Nana was immediately captivated by his sense of humour and his reassuring voice. Since then, they became close friends.

During the last decade, they were often seen together. Jean-Claude toured with Nana many times and wrote two songs for her: "Fille du soleil" and "Où es-tu passé?". Nana even chose him to act as witness at her marriage with André Chapelle.

If the French Cinema is in mourning, Nana just lost a loved one she considered as a confidant and a mentor. She will miss him very much.
