On January 26, 2019, one of the greatest French composers has left us at age 86. Michel Legrand was one of Nana's first supporters when she decided to make a career in France. For him, she had the most beautiful female voice.

In 1964 and 1965, he accompanied her at the studio with his orchestra for several recordings. He especially adapted for her "Les parapluies de Cherbourg" which became one of her greatest hits. Many TV viewers remember their jazzy duet "Quand on s’aime" that they performed with passion every time.

Nana held him in high esteem. She is also grateful to him for having achieved one of her great dreams by recording with him an album of movie songs.
